Company Activities: We are now Wabtec, and we are happy to provide you passenger information with all the long time experience from ANNAX.
ANNAX was founded in 1996 through a management buy-out and emerged from a division of the company BOSCH. Since then, ANNAX was able to become a leading supplier in the market of passenger information systems through strategic acquisitions and organic growth.
In 2018 ANNAX Group has been acquired by Wabtec Corporation.
The former ANNAX Group, now Wabtec, consists of 3 companies located in Germany, Switzerland and China. The number of employees has increased from 10 to over 500. Together we develop, design, integrate and manufacture a range of products, solutions and services for worldwide application in the public transport sector as per EN 50155.
Wabtec’s cybersecurity program, certified to IEC 62443-4-1 in early 2024, provides well-defined benchmarks throughout the development lifecycle. This standards-driven approach enables a common cybersecurity baseline for Wabtec products.
At the same time, ANNAX locations have successfully achieved the ISO/IEC 27001 information security management systems certification.
We serve from Light Rail Vehicle (LRV), Metro, Electric and Diesel Multiple Units (EMU & DMU) up to High Speed train projects to our customers. These projects are for new trains or are to retrofit of older trains with a new passenger information system. The service offering of ANNAX is characterized by technological value added.
